Technopark interacts with tribal youth

Technopark hosted 200 tribal youth from Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Maharashtra today as part of the 16th Tribal Youth Exchange Programme. 

 

This initiative was jointly organised by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan. Technopark was one of the selected venues across India.

 

During their visit, the youth interacted with Technopark CEO Col Sanjeev Nair (Retd), who outlined Technopark's significant milestones and its contributions to the growth of the country’s IT landscape and how it is emerging as an ecosystem enabler. The CEO instantly connected with the tribal youth by reminiscing his own school days in a remote area in Chattisgarh and also motivated them to become great learners and understand technology that can impact and influence the society and the nation.

 

“Digital technology significantly enhances the progress of the nation in all fields, be it Medtech, Edtech, Agritech, automobile tech, defence & aerospace etc. Emerging technologies like AI, IoT, Blockchain, AR/VR etc are further enabling the technological advancements of digital era,” he added. 

 

Technopark Deputy General Manager Vasant Varada gave a presentation on various possibilities, opportunities, and development activities at Technopark. He encouraged the youth to play a role in sharing knowledge and transferring technology to future generations.

 

“Kerala is home to three IT parks owned by the state government, including Technopark, which offers a wide range of services in the technology sector. Technopark provides endless opportunities for the youth,” he said.

 

The Tribal Youth Exchange Programme aims to acquaint tribal youth from different regions of the country with a variety of cultures, ethics, languages, lifestyles, and development activities.
