We are seeking a passionate and experienced Study Abroad Student Counselor to join our dynamic team in Trivandrum.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist prospective students in identifying suitable study abroad programs, countries, and institutions based on their academic background, career aspirations, and personal preferences.
2. 2. Provide guidance on admission requirements, application processes, and documentation needed for various universities and countries.
3. Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students and their families, addressing their concerns and answering their queries.
4. Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational trends, visa policies, and industry developments in order to provide accurate and relevant information to students.
5. Collaborate with internal teams, partner universities, and external organizations to ensure a seamless student experience.
6. Conduct presentations, seminars, and workshops on study abroad opportunities, benefits, and application procedures.
7. Assist students in preparing application materials, including personal statements, recommendation letters, and other required documents.
8. Monitor student application progress and follow up with universities, ensuring timely feedback and successful admissions.
9. Provide guidance on scholarship opportunities, financial planning, and budgeting for studying abroad.
10. Support students in visa application processes, including documentation and interview preparation.
11. Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress in CRM and other tracking systems.
12. Participate in education fairs, networking events, and professional development opportunities to build relationships and promote the company's services.
Preferred skills
1. A bachelor's degree, preferably in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in study abroad counseling, international education, or a similar role.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of international education systems, admission processes, and visa requirements.
4. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach.
6. Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages will be an asset.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and manage multiple priorities.
8. Willingness to travel for events, conferences, and training programs.
