Electrical Design Engineer (Bangalore)

Brief description :

·         Design  LV/MV/HV Transformers, Inductors and Chokes, Current Transformer

( Single phase &Three phase up to 1 MVA- Dry Type , Reactors , Chokes , Integrated Transformers , K rated Transformers , Common Mode chokes , CTS, PDU  )     

·         Technical discussion (presentation) with customers (on/off site) for drawing / type test approvals and specification finalization

·         Drawing preparation & BOM creation meet

·          Participate in NPD gate reviews, as needed

·         Product cost optimization by redesign to cost / alternate materials

·         Preparation and release of Production documents  / design sheets for procurement & manufacturing

·         Type testing at 3rd party labs for product validation and to ensure requirements

·         Inter function coordination for smooth order execution, cost out, type test & validation

·         Share experience and knowledge with other designers and different development sites

Preferred skills

  • B. Tech/ B.E. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • 4-10 years’ experience in Design/development ( magnetics- transformers , Inductors)
  • Design experience is water cooled products – basics
  • Experience in PDU and power electronics components (medical  )
  • Working knowledge of National and  IEC standards on Transformers-Inductors and associated requirements
  • Working knowledge of design process/quality tools like DFMEA, DFM, PPAP
  • Skills in field simulations (2D and 3D magnetic simulations) will be an advantage
  • Ability to work in a global environment
  • Behavioral: Person shall be of pro-active with high enthusiasm, open minded with positive attitude.
  • Shall have strong sense of ownership & responsibility.

  • Proficiency in MS office- MS Excel. PowerPoint and MS word
  • Self-driven and strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish and develop working relationships between business functions
  • Good Communication Skills
