Team Lead - Credit Control
Brief description :
As a Team Lead in the Credit Control team, this role will lead the PA Media Group Credit Control team on daily deliverables and SLA. The team leader will be responsible to provide accurate and timely information to key internal and external stakeholders on the Group’s aged debt and cash flow position. The person must be able to develop effective relationships with key client contacts and internal stakeholders to improve the efficiency of cash collection. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
Role Responsibilities:
- Management of a resilient team of Credit Control Administrators, providing ongoing mentoring, support, and coaching
- Provide accurate and timely reporting of Credit Control activities, including monthly aged debt reporting, group cash flow and escalation reporting to Senior Management
- Ensure timely escalation of queries and issues by the Credit Control team and take a proactive role in escalating to Group Finance manager where appropriate
- Support the performance management processes for the Credit Control team including performance reviews, objective-setting and review of training plans
- Be proactive in driving process changes and improvements, to increase the quality, accuracy and effectiveness of financial information and processes
- Ownership and improvement of Credit Control and Banking processes from beginning to end
Preferred skills
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Credit Control captive BPO team and currently in a Team ead/Process Lead role
- Excellent coordination and organizational skills, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and experience working to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Independently handled communications with internal or external stakeholders effectively
- Advanced skills with Microsoft products, especially Excel
- Strong finance systems knowledge and systems change projects would be beneficial
- Highly collaborative and supportive with ability to lead the team with high level of attention to detail, prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Willingness to work in UK Shift (12:30 PM – 09:30 PM)
