Job Summary: 

We are seeking skilled and experienced Senior Java Backend Developers with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Java 1.8 or above, Spring Boot, RESTful Services, Hibernate, and Spring Data JPA. The ideal candidate will also have expertise in integrating external APIs and developing Jasper Reports for reporting needs.Shape 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design and implement high-quality, maintainable code using Java 1.8+ and best practices. 

  • Work on feature development, bug fixing, and performance optimization. 

  • Expertise in Spring Boot to build scalable and efficient applications. 

  • Utilize Spring Data JPA for seamless database interactions. 

  • Design and implement RESTful services to support application functionalities. 

  • Integrate external APIs to enhance application functionality. 

  • Troubleshoot and optimize external API interactions. 

  • Develop and maintain JasperReports for reporting and data visualization needs. 

  • Conduct and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality. 

Preferred Skills

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

  • 4+ years of professional experience with Java (preferably Java 8 or newer). 

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms. 

  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security. 

  • Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and working with JSON/XML. 

  • Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate, JPA). 

  • Hands-on experience with Jasper Reports: designing, compiling, and integrating reports. 

  • Experience with tools like Git, Maven/Gradle, and Jenkins. 

  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure). 

  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices. 

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.  

Preferred Skills: 

  • Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis). 

  • Prior experience in fintech, e-commerce, or enterprise reporting platforms. 

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ is a plus).
