Brief Description

Job Title: Finance & Accounts

Experience Required: 3 to 5 years 

Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations, including billing, revenue management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, and experience with Ortez PMS software is an added advantage. 

Flexibility in working hours will be required during peak hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Billing & Revenue Accounting

•    Prepare and verify guest bills at check-out, ensuring all charges (room, F&B, services, taxes) are correctly posted.
•    Handle billing queries and discrepancies in coordination with the front office, F&B, and other hotel departments.
•    Process payments (cash, credit card, digital) and issue receipts, ensuring proper reconciliation with the bank.

Billing & Financial Systems Management

•    Manage billing operations and financial transactions using the hotel’s accounting software.
•    Track and manage inventory (e.g., F&B, amenities) and POS transactions.
•    Coordinate with the front office for accurate guest billing and check-out procedures.

Financial Operations & Reporting

•    Reconcile daily revenue reports from the PMS and POS systems with actual transactions.
•    Oversee daily cash handling, petty cash, and ensure proper reconciliation of deposits.
•    Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
•    Support budget preparation and financial forecasting processes.

Accounts Receivable & Payable

•    Monitor guest and corporate account aging reports and follow up for payment collections.
•    Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments.
•    Reconcile vendor statements and ensure accounts payable records are up-to-date.

Audit & Compliance
•    Assist with internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation.
•    Ensure compliance with tax regulations and hotel accounting policies.
•    Maintain accurate financial records and ensure they meet legal and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Skills

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in hotel accounting or hospitality finance.
  • Experience with Ortez PMS software is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, especially during peak guest check-out or check-in periods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
