Responsibilities
- Requirement Elicitation & Scope Definition: Gather detailed business requirements for the payment platform, define the project scope, and develop comprehensive documentation, including use cases, user stories, and flow diagrams that specify the functional and non-functional aspects of the platform.
- End-to-End Solution Design: Work closely with solution architects, developers, and UX designers to design the platform's workflows, ensuring seamless integration with banks, payment gateways, fraud detection systems, and user interfaces.
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that the platform complies with industry regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, PSD2) and internal security policies. Identify potential risks, establish mitigation plans, and coordinate with legal and compliance teams to maintain the platform’s security and integrity.
- Write clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritize tasks in collaboration with the Product Owner, focusing on payment flows, transaction processing, refund/chargeback handling, and currency conversion.
- Ensure the product backlog is well-maintained, prioritized, and refined to align with payment gateway business requirements, compliance standards, and technical constraints.
- Promote adherence to Agile principles and practices, guiding the team to improve delivery and maintain consistent velocity, with special attention to optimizing payment flows and resolving gateway-related issues.
- Identify, track, and remove obstacles that may block the team from achieving sprint goals, specifically addressing issues in payment processing, transaction speed, and failure/error handling.
- Serve as the point of contact between the development team, business stakeholders, and payment gateway providers, ensuring clear communication on project status, risks, and business needs related to payments.
- Track and report on team performance using Agile metrics like velocity, burn-down charts, and sprint goal achievement, ensuring continuous improvement in the development and integration of payment systems.
- Assist in coordinating and validating user acceptance testing, ensuring that payment-related business requirements, including successful transaction processing and security compliance, are met.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives, helping the team identify areas for improving payment system performance and scalability.
