Senior Data Analyst - Snowflake

Brief Description

Introduction

We are looking for 8+years experienced candidates for this role.

 

Working hours - 8 hours (12:00 PM-9:00 PM), with a few hours of overlap during EST Time zone. This overlap hours is mandatory as meetings happen during this overlap hours

Responsibilities include:
  • Query and analyze data stored in Snowflake databases to derive meaningful insights and support business decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain data models and schema designs within Snowflake to facilitate efficient data analysis.
  • Create and maintain data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau or Power BI, leveraging Snowflake as the underlying data source.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Perform data validation, quality assurance, and data cleansing activities within Snowflake databases.
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of ETL processes and data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

Preferred Skills

 
Primary Skills :
  • Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in data analysis roles, with significant exposure to Snowflake
  • Proficiency in querying and analyzing data using Snowflake SQL, DBT
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and schema design within Snowflake environments.
  • Experience in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g.   Power BI, Tableau, Looker ) for analyzing and presenting insights derived from Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipeline development.
  • Proven track record of using Snowflake for complex data analysis and reporting tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python R) for data manipulation and analysis
Secondary Skills :
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure,GCP).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment 
Certifications :
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Certifications in data analytics, data visualization, or cloud platforms (e.g., Power BI data analyst, Tableau Desktop Specialist, AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, Snowpro Advanced Data analyst) are desirable but not mandatory.
