Oracle Commences Operations from Technopark

 

Oracle India, the second largest global IT products company, commenced their operations from Technopark on June 16, 2011.   About 50 fresh recruits from various colleges in Kerala joined Oracle at Trivandrum.    Mr T Balakrishnan, IAS, Addl Chief Secretary (IT & Industries) who visited the Oracle’s facility on the opening day welcomed the new employees and wished them all the best in their career and mentioned that they have joined the right company which is a global brand leader.  He said that he would like to see each one of the new employees becoming a CEO in the next few years.  Mr Balakrishnan also mentioned that Oracle’s arrival is a great boost for the IT landscape of the State and will help it to become globally visible as one of the favored IT destinations in India.  Mr Mervin Alexander, CEO, Technopark, Ms Ishitha Roy, IAS, Director, Kerala State IT Mission and Mr M Vasudevan, Senior Manager (Business Development) were present.  Oracle have already signed up for space in Leela Infopark and would be commencing operations from there on large scale once the facility is ready and have very ambitious plans for Trivandrum.
