Brief description :

  • The Candidate will support the Sales function within the business in order to build ‘end-to-end’ Network solutions WAN and LAN connectivity solutions (multi-product).
  • Provide a practical and clear ‘interface’ between Technical, Sales, Deliver and program management to ensure that the correct solution is sold / delivered to the end customer
  • Determine, articulate and document the technical scope of sales opportunities and ensure that the internal and external understanding reconciles and is well understood.
  • Attend external solution meetings with the sales teams and customers and help identify technical, infrastructure and configuration needs based on the requirements
  • Provide internal Pre-Sales support for the Account Managers and Support teams
  • Be accountable for designing & implementing bespoke and sometimes complex technical designs & solutions including migration and testing
  • Create High Level Design and input into Low Level Design documentation packs
  • Work with Sales team, Bid Management and channel partners to provide responses for technical RFI/RFP questions
  • Maintain an in-depth level of technical and industry knowledge through ongoing training, seminars and certifications.
  • Responding to RFP's / RFI's / RFQs as part of pre-sales process.
  • Participate in due diligence meetings with customer to gather more information on proposal/information request and environment.
  • Architect winning techno-commercial Information Security solutions as part of the pre-sales process.
  • Prepare Proposal documents including proposals, pricing sheet, solution presentations against RFPs/RFIs
  • Contractual documents such as Statement of Work, Resource Unit Definitions etc.
  • Understanding new data technologies/products and position them in relevant solution proposal
  • Keep himself/herself up-to-date with latest products features, licensing, architecture and price
  • Defend end-to-end data solutions to customer/internal stakeholders
  • Working closely alongside other technology owners for optimal solution design in-line with the overall proposed solution.
  • Work with OEM / Partners to ensure an appropriate solution is proposed during Presales Cycle
  • Assist with the development of new services and products for including within the Service Portfolio
  • Provide internal training to staff and new employees & Product and Service training to aid in the technical development of our Channel Partners
  • Inform and educate prospects about solutions and benefits
  • Craft and configure the solution
  • Eliminate technical obstacles to the sale
  • Establish the business value of the solution
  • Manage the solution decision process
  • Review / Interpretation / conversion of Technical requirements of an opportunity. 
  • Handle estimation independently.
  • Achieve solution closure
  • Capability to act as a role model - i. e. lead by example, inspire, motivate and have a positive influence on others. 
  • Maintain professional growth while participating in and contributing to the company Quality Management Systems
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude when interacting with management, employees and external contacts.
  • Hire, train, and mentor other engineers and supporting staff.

 

Preferred skills

  • Have previous experience providing Technical Pre-Sales support or technical support.
  • Experience of multivendor technologies including: Cisco, Huawei, HPE, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Aruba, Aerohive and Meraki would be advantageous.
  • Have experience of creating network designs and bespoke customer solutions based on a set of requirements
  • Able to produce High Level designs and detailed statement of works to document specific details associated with implementation and overall in-life operation of the solutions that have been proposed
  • Have an ability to map technical solutions to customer needs/business objectives
  • Able to create and deliver technical presentations to end customers
  • Have good knowledge and understanding of networking protocols including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VPLS, VPNs, and QoS
  • Good understanding of WAN technologies including: Leased Lines, Carrier Ethernet, EFM, xDSL.
  • Good understanding of LAN technologies including Edge, Access and Data Centre
  • Technical experience with designing, installing, configuring and supporting security infrastructure technologies, tools.
  • Certifications mandatory
  • Proven track record of imparting consulting to Enterprise / Commercial / PSU clients and driving large multi-technology solution bids with end-to-end ownership
  • Good knowledge of networks, security, unified communication and data center infrastructure solutions.
  • Knowledge of leading best practices architectures and methodologies in the technology infrastructure integration domain. 
  • Good verbal and written communications and presentation skills
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for assimilation of new technologies and solutions.
  • Independently handle all consulting related activity and assist sales organization in driving the medium & large consulting opportunities.
  • Preferable knowledge in competition products across networks, security and data center solutions.
  • 10+ years’ experience in IT Management across multiple disciplines
  • Experience in solutioning, implementing / managing complex projects and initiatives
  • Demonstrated capability in driving continuous improvement projects
  • Demonstrated team building, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – demonstrated ability to relate to executives and business
  • Action Oriented, Customer Excellence & Working in teams.
