NexGenSm seeks proven software engineering based Business Development professionals to work with leading technology platforms, software solutions, and analytics companies with a focus on emerging cloud, mobility, security, Web and big data.Work requires exercising judgment within generally defined solution practices in selecting methods towards delivering sustainable long-term product co-development partnerships.
Position – Director of Business Development
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Contacts potential customers within an assigned industry and territory, penetrating organizations at the highest level possible to maximize Business Development impact.
Works with inside Business Development team to identifies prospective customers' needs and develops innovative solutions to satisfy their requirements.
Generates Business Development leads through networking, referrals, cold calls, and targeted marketing campaigns.
Coordinates with multiple departments, including Product Engineering, Service and Innovation department, and practice leaders to assist in ensuring a smooth Business Development-to-rollout process.
Utilizes the Company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System and provides accurate Business Development forecasts to management on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis for the assigned area.
Acquires and stays abreast of industry and product knowledge.
Provide guidance, instruction, mentoring, and work direction to Business Development Associates and Account Executives as the team grows.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Requires strong knowledge in software engineering life cycle, estimation, and delivery process.
Requires strong knowledge of direct, channel Business Development and OEM partnership models and methods.
Requires strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences and corporate executive staff.
Requires strong organizational skills to produce quality work, meet tight schedules and coordinate with other staff members.
Requires basic skills in the use of various business applications, such as, CRM, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
Requires initiative and the ability to influence events in order to achieve results, rather than passively accepting them (pure hunter vs. order taker)
Requires a high level of energy, drive, initiative, and commitment to work in a fast moving Business Development environment.
Requires the ability to manage complex scenarios and a mix of both short and long Business Development cycles and clearly quantify Return on Investment (ROI), using a high level of technical expertise, solid project management skills, and strong business acumen.
Requires the ability to build rapport and credibility with Board
Requires the ability to understand and differentiate between contractual and partner agreement offerings with a focus on long terms agreements
Willing to handle Australian and US marketing &Business Development Activities along with team management.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the market with recent exposure in working with any of Software Industries.
